Specifications

  • Printer Type: FFF – Fused filament fabrication is an additive manufacturing technology commonly used for modeling, rapid prototyping, and production applications.

  • Build Area: 1 meter x 1 meter x 0.5 meter  (39.3″ x 39.3″ x 19.6″)

  • Layer Resolution: Down to 70 microns (0.0027″)Note: Accuracy is dependent upon slice settings, geometry, print speed, filament quality, and a range of other factors. Under average conditions, it is typical to hold layer resolution of 100 microns with a well-tuned and calibrated printer configuration.

  • Material Compatibility: The 3DP1000 printer is capable of printing materials which are created for Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF), including but not limited to PLA (Polylactic Acid), ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), Nylon, Ninja Flex, PVA (Polyvinyl Alcohol) and HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene). Note: Some materials may require increased bed and nozzle temperatures, as well as additional ventilation.

  • Filament Diameter: 3 mm (0.118″)

  • Nozzle Diameter: 0.6 mm

  • Connectivity to Laptop: USB

  • Non-Standard Options: Consult factory for non-standard options such as multiple extruders, enclosure system, and other special requirements.

  • Ambient Operating Temperature Needed:15° – 32°C (60° – 90°F)

  • ELECTRICALAC Input: Option 1: 110 V, 15 Amp, 60 HzOption 2: 220 V, 13.6 Amp, 60 Hz

  • MECHANICALBuild Platform: Heated borosilicate glass, 5 mm thick XYZ Axes: Lead screw driven SIMO® Series linear actuatorsfrom PBC Linear®.  Screw max values: 640 RPM, 16000 mm/min, 267 mm/sec.  Stepper Motors: Nema 23 stepper motors from AppliedMotion Products with integrated amplifier and 800 microstepping (as set at factory). M/S option up to 25000 available.

  • Outside dimensions of cart with wheels:0.787 m x 1.549 m x

  • 0.876   (31″ x 61″ x 34.5″)

  • Outside dimensions of printer with linear actuators and motors:1.422 m x 1.358 m x 0.990 m   (56″ x 53.5″ x 39″)

RECOMMENDED SOFTWARE

• Simplify 3Dwww.simplify3d.comSimplify 3D is an easy-to-use program used to import, repair, slice, preview, and print all from the same application. This a simplified alternative to other programs. Available for purchase.  Note: Simplify 3D is used singularly to manipulate files and operate the printer.

• Repetier Host & Slic3rwww.repetier.comwww.slic3r.org

Repetier Host is free, open source software used to operate your 3D printer – with controls for temperature, speed, flow, and movement. It includes an interface with Slic3r, which is used for processing files, cutting a model into horizontal slices–called layers–generating tool paths to fill them and calculating the amount of material that will be extruded. Open source, no cost.  Note: Repetier Host and Slic3r are used in conjunction and can be downloaded simultaneously from the Repetier Host website.

See detailed information below.

1. Simo Series Actuators

Robust SIMO® Series linear actuators, with Cam Roller Technology from PBC Linear® provide smooth and accurate motion control. Click here to learn more.

2. Anti-Backlash Lead Screw & Nut

Constant Force™ anti-backlash lead screws and nuts enable quick start, stop, and change of direction—providing high print quality.

3. Dual Filament Sensors

Dual filament sensors provide added security during long prints. When the filament runs out, the sensor puts the printer into a paused state.

4. Motor Options
with SurePrint Technology

Standard motor option: NEMA 23 stepper motors with integrated amplifier and 800 micro-stepping (as set at factory).

Upgrade motor option: SurePrint™ Servo Technology motors with 85% more torque and closed loop communication resulting in improved print quality in less time.

5. Motion Sensors

Motion sensors (3 locations) provide auto-homing of the X, Y, and Z axes.

6. Heated Build Platform

The heated build platform of 1000 mm x 1000 mm is borosilicate glass, which is 5 mm thick.

7. Enhanced Wiring and Easy Connections

Industrial wiring connectors increase reliability and simplify trouble shooting.

8. LCD Unit with
Integrated Temperature Control

Operation using a computer with connection to printer via USB, located toward the front of the machine, or use the LCD unit to print independently with the SD card reader located on the side of the LCD.

For printers purchased after 12/4/15, the heated build platform is also controlled using the LCD control unit or a computer.

9. Additional Safety Features

Continuously improving and making a safe machine better, these 3D printed parts help provide a barrier for moving parts on the machine.
